The word is out: the thrilling OPP Golden Helmets Precision Motorcycle Team will headline this year’s Meaford Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival parade on Sept. 30th.

Ride Master Sgt. Lise Grenier rode into Meaford last week to meet with invasion and festival organizers and showcase one of the Golden Helmet’s Harley Davidson motorcycles. Sgt. Grenier will be back on Sept. 30th with 15 of her Golden Helmets teammates in time for their 5 p.m. pre-parade show on Sykes Street .at 5pm

All OPP Golden Helmets are regular uniform police. Each has undergone special training and are exceptionally skilled riders who can put an OPP Harley through its paces, according to Sgt. Grenier. “The Golden Helmets are not stunt riders,” she said. “We are skilled riders who can show what these bikes can really do, safely.”
